I Couldn't Say Anything
--To My Husband Leif, July 13th, 2012

They saw me once before
As I passed by the crossroad
They didn't say anything
At the darkest before dawn

They thought I was guilty
As lies spread out the crossroad
They didn't do anything
At the darkest before dawn

They finally saw me once before
As I fell down behind at the crossroad
They were too busy to save me
At the darkest before dawn

They twisted my neck to let my helmet flying away
They separated me and my bike to let me lying down
They didn't call the ambulance and police
They were busy with tallying their confessions
I couldn't say anything
As I saw the darkest before dawn

They drove their truck away
They moved my bike away
They dragged my body away
They threw my helmet away
They lost one of my dear new shoes
It was the birthday gift from my love
I couldn't say anything
As I saw the darkest before dawn

They left me lying in the frozen cold room
They ignored I was still trying my best breathing hour by hour
They bought time letting my brain losing memories little by little
They didn't want to give me a try
They thought they could avoid guilty that way
I couldn't say anything
As my dearest wife and friends outside anxious cried and begged

They set me up with tubes and machines
As my gray haired parents flew over the ocean to see me again
As my dearest brothers held my hands again after we grew up
They waited to see me marrying
They came to see me dying
I couldn't say anything
As my heart grieved and broken

They must accepted bribes
They should convicted of perjury and obstruction
They talked biggest lies when they erased surveillance videos
They thought I couldn't pay to buy the truth
I couldn't say anything
As I murdered by all these group of murderers from the culture I loved deeply

They refused my wife's requests for help
As she is not our great country's citizen
As I was nobody to my home country
They came and apologized finally
As everything was too late
They could still help on finding out the truth
They only smiled with diplomatic parlance
I couldn't say anything
As I was from a freedom country

If I was a leaf
I couldn't wait to fall down in autumn
I couldn't attend the wedding as a groom
I couldn't see my bride smiles at the moment
I couldn't have my children with my love
I couldn't step on my beautiful homeland again
I couldn't say anything
As I flowing in the wind
As I burned in the fire
As I floating in the end

My dearest babe
I heard you cried every day and night
I couldn't wipe off your tears
I couldn't hug and kiss you again
I couldn't warm you in the cold weather any more
I couldn't say anything to make you feel better
But I love you
As that is all really matters

Moon, that is a great poem. Although, it is sad. I know Leif would be so proud of you. I love him too. I'm glad you are here now. Phil
